This article describes the use of Course Formats in Moodle.
The Topics format is the most common Moodle Course Format.
Topics are sections of content which are laid out similar to chapters of a book.
The Single Activity format allows a Course to host a single Moodle Activity.
This format is useful in special cases such as delivering a stand alone eLearning (SCORM) package where Activity Restrictions (Conditional Access) is not required.
The Weekly format organises content into weekly groups of content based on the Start Date of the Course.
This format is most commonly used in Courses which have a distinct beginning need to drip feed content to Learners.
