Advanced cohorts will allow users to automatically be put into cohorts based on a series of defined rules.
Please note, this is a Learnbook only feature.
Step 1. Select Administration
Step 2. Select Site Administration
Step 3. Select Plugins tab
Step 4. Scroll down to find the Local Plugins category
Step 5. Select Advanced Cohorts
Step 6. Select Create a new cohort
Step 7. Give your advanced cohort a name
Step 8. Assign your advanced cohort a manager, if required. This is not a mandatory field and can be left as none.
Step 9. Leave the Cohort Theme as Learnbook.
Step 10. Add Rules. Choose from the two drop downs the criteria for which you are wanting users to be included into this cohort, and then enter the chosen values in the values field.
E.g. If you are wanting all Australian users to be part of one cohort you would choose.
Profile Field - Country
Parameter - is equal to
Value - Australian
Please note, the profile fields of these users must be populated with the correct information for the correct users to be brought through into the correct cohorts.

You are able to add as many values and rules as required to import the desired users into the correct cohorts. A new value box will appear when the preceding field has been filled, if you don’t require additional values, leave the unused ones blank.
Step 11. Once you have completed setting up rules, Select Save.
The cohort has now been created
Step 12. Click Manage to view the members of the advanced cohort.
You can now enrol this advanced cohort into courses using the cohort sync method.
