Bulk user actions will allow you to perform a task on multiple users at the same time.
Step 1. Login as an admin user and select Administration
Step 2. Select Site Administration
Step 3. Select Users tab
Step 4. Scroll to find the Accounts category
Step 5. Select Bulk user actions
Step 6. You can now use the filters to find a specific user or set of users. Select show more to expand to find more filters and use the drop downs and text fields to set parameters to search for the users that you are wishing to find.
Once you have supplied the parameters for the users you are looking for. Select Add Filter.
Step 8. All users who have passed the active filters are listed in the available box. If no filter is set, all site users are listed.
Step 9. Users can be added or removed from the selected users list by clicking on the users’ names then clicking on an appropriate action button. Multiple users may be selected by holding down the Ctrl key whilst clicking on the users names.

Step 10. Once you have selected all the users that you require for the bulk user action, select the desired option from dropdown located in the With selected users category.

Step 11. Select Go

Confirm User

Step 12. Confirm that you wish to confirm the user profiles that you have selected, select Yes.
Step 13.The users have been confirmed and changes saved. Select Continue.
Send a message
Complete steps 1 - 11
Step 12. Type your message for the selected users.
Step 13. Select Save changes
Step 14. Confirm that you would like to send your message to the selected users. Select Yes.
Your message has now been sent and will appear and will appear in a users message centre.
Delete
Please note, deleting a user is permanent and the action cannot be undone.

Step 12. Confirm that you are sure that you’d like to delete the selected users. Select Yes.
Step 13. The users have now been deleted. Select Continue.
Display on page

Selected users will be displayed on a page
Step 12. Select continue to exit this screen
Download

Step 12. From the dropdown box, select the format that you’d like to download the user information in.
You can choose from the following formats, based on your needs:
- Comma Separated Values (.csv)
- Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)
- HTML table
- Javascript Object Notation (.json)
- OpenDocument (.ods)
Step 13. Select Download
The file will download and will open in the default program for that file type.
Force password change
Complete steps 1 - 11
Step 12. Confirm that you would like to force password change for the selected users. Select Yes.
Step 13. The changes have been saved and users will be forced to reset their password up their next login. Select Continue.
Add to cohort
Complete steps 1 - 11
Step 12. From the dropdown, select the cohort that you’d like the selected users to be placed into.
Please note, that cohort has to be an existing cohort, you cannot create a new cohort via bulk user actions. See how to create a new cohort for instructions on how to do this.
Step 13. Select Add to cohort
The users have now been added to the selected cohort.
