Step 1. Enter the course that you’d like to set up course completion within.
Step 2. Select the COG icon in the top right hand corner of the screen.
Step 3. From the drop-down select the Course completion button.
Step 4. Set the conditions that you would like for users to have to complete before the course is marked as completed.

If enabled, users must be enrolled until the set date for their course to be marked as complete. |
Enrolment duration |
If enabled, the user must be enrolled for the number of days specified, for their course to be marked as complete. |
Unenrolment |
If enabled, the user must be unenrolled to be marked as complete. |
Course grade |

Enable |
If enabled, a pass grade can be set. A user must achieve or exceed this pass grade for the course to be marked as complete. This is based on total points and not percentage. |
Required course grade |
Enter the number of points a user must achieve to pass this course. |
Manual self-completion |

Enable |
This allows user to self-complete the course, through the self-completion block. The self completion block should be added to the course if manual self-completion is enabled. Click here to find out how to add the self-completion block to your course. |

Select one or more of the following user roles that are required to manually mark course completion
For a role to appear in this list, the moodle/course:mark/complete must be allowed. |
Step 5. Once you have set the course completion fields as required, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Save changes.
Course completion has now been set for this course.
Please note, once you have set course completion and users have commenced the course, completion settings will become locked. We do not recommend unlocking completion options as this could cause confusion as it may alter completion statuses for users.
