For Site Badges, the criteria are : Manual issue by role, Completing a set of courses and Profile completion. These options are explained below in detail.
Option 1: Manual issue by role
This setting allows a Badge to be awarded manually by users who have a particular role within the site or course.
Step 1. Click on the roles which will be able to award the Badge.
Step 2. Options under This criterion is complete when can be used to decide when the criteria is complete. There are two options

Step 3. Provide a description of the criterion setup.
Step 4. Click Save
Option 2: Completing a set of courses.
Step 1. Choose the list of all courses that must be completed to receive the Badge
Step 2. Click Add courses
You will be redirected to another page.
Step 3. Using Completing a set of courses section, you can setup the date by which the course should be completed and / or minimum grade required to receive the badge.
Enter the minimum grade to receive For the Badge to be issues using the Minimum grade required textbox.
To enter a date by which the course should be completed. Click Enable. This will allow you to enter the dates by which the course should be completed. You can enter the dates by clicking on the date fields or by clicking the calendar icon.
Step 4. Options under This criterion is complete when can be used to decide when the criteria is complete. There are two options.

Step 5. Provide a description of the criterion setup.

Option 3: Profile Completion
Step 1. Choose the profile fields that must be filled to receive the Badge
Step 2. Options under This criterion is complete when can be used to decide when the criteria is complete. There are two options.
