This will remove the ability for non-administrative users to Customise this page on their user dashboard. Users with Site Level roles other than Authenticated User will still be able to view the Customise their page and manage their own dashboard blocks.
The default Moodle site level roles of Site Administrator, Manager & Course Creator will all still be able to see the Customise this page button and manage their own dashboard blocks.
Step 1. Login as an administrator and Select Site Administrator
Step 2. Select Users
Step 3. Scroll to the Permissions Section
Step 4. Select Define roles
Step 5. Locate the Authenticated User Role and Select the COG in the edit column.
Step 6. Select the Show Advanced if it not already showing.
Step 6. Scroll down to the capabilities list and using the Filter Search locate each of the below capabilities (you will need to repeat step 7 & 8 for each capability on the list.
Step 7. Select the Prevent column. Permission is removed for the capability even if allowed in a higher context.
Step 8. Once you have updated all of the capabilities in step 6, select Save Changes.
Users that hold the authenticated user role at the system level will no longer be able to Customise this Page and the button will disappear from their dashboard.
